Best Building of the Year 2017

City Hall Deventer has won the Award for Best Building of the Year 2017 – category ‘Iconic value’.

From the jury report: ‘The jury is full of admiration for what has been accomplished here, and finds it an “incredibly beautiful” building. The project is striking and at the same time well fitted in; with respect for tradition and the site, a design has been made that ‘could not have stood anywhere else’. It is monumental and homely all in one, has a timeless look and is energy efficient in use.’
