The staircase as social medium

Kirsten Hannema interviewed Michiel Riedijk for Nook magazine about the staircase as social medium and the story of the grandstand staircase: a connecting space intended for traffic between floors emerged as the social hub of the building. The article is proudly illustrated by the beautiful stairs we realized in Cultural Center & Library Eemhuis, Biodiversity Center Naturalis and Rozet Cultural Center & Library. The outdoor stairs of STUK Leuven are not forgotten either.
