Neutelings Riedijk Architects wins SORAVIA competition: transforming Thyssen-Areal in Köln-Ehrenfeld
Neutelings Riedijk Architects, (Rotterdam) together with kollektif landscape, (Ghent) out of 10 teams, have been declared the winner of the prestigious architectural competition for the redevelopment of the former Thyssen industrial site in Köln-Ehrenfeld (Cologne). The winning design proposes a transformative vision for the historic steel hall (21.000 m2), envisioning it as a vibrant hub for events in combination with new to build surrounding contemporary office volumes. The design provides green plazas that foster a healthy vibrant living and working environment and provides variety between building volumes.

Neutelings Riedijk Architects will supervise the transformation of the area into a vibrant mixed-use district.
